I know that he lived a perfect life here on earth. I know that it is through Christ that you are able to return to live with God. I know that you can be made clean through Christ. I know he loves you so much and wants you to return to Him and God. I love Christ so much. Christ is my best friend.”

I loved conference! That is so sweet that we are going to get a temple here. It is to bad that it’s not until after I leave. I will have to make it back someday. All of the talks were amazing. I liked President Monson’s talk a lot when he talked about how we need to enjoy life. Sometimes I try and do everything and I don't leave any time to have fun. Well I hope that you are all enjoying life. So I’m way excited my companion and I get to have our birthdays together. Hers is the 27th of Oct and mine is the 30th so that is going to be a lot of fun. This Friday the mission gets to hear from Elder Nelson from the Quorum of the 12. I’m way excited for that. I have a lot of pictures that I want to send but the computer isn’t working, I will try again next week.
Time is going by so fast I'm going to have 11 months tomorrow. It is really crazy. I was able to hear from Elder Nelson from the quorum of the 12 apostles this Friday. It was amazing! He let us ask him different question about the gospel. It was really neat to look into his eyes. You can tell that he is a man called of God. Him and his wife talked about how you can tell so much about a person just by looking in their eyes. The thing that we do and see each day reflects in our eyes. I want and hope that people can see the light of Christ through my eyes and each and everyone of yours. It was so great to hear from an apostle of the Lord. I'm so grateful to be a member of God's church and to serve him for a year and a half. My life has been really blessed. I can feel Gods love for me so strong right now. I'm just so happy.
Love, Hermana Hawkes

So yesterday I started reading the Book of Mormon again from the beginning. I’m going to read two chapters everyday and I will finish by December 31. I’m reading it in English and Spanish. I’m really excited to read the Book of Mormon again from start to finish. We set another baptism date this last week for the 27th of September. So now we have 3 investigators with baptism dates. We have a lot of great investigators! The Lords is really helping us to find the people that he has prepared for us. I just love teaching the gospel and its becoming easier and easier to speak Spanish. I’m trying right now to never speak in English, which is really hard when I’m talking with other people from the states that are speaking in English. I can tell that it’s helping me a lot. It really is amazing how much I already know. The Lord has really helped me a ton. I love you all so much.

This is Hna Nelson and I eating Home made popcorn with dulce de leche, the best thing ever! No one has microwaves here so we had to pop the popcorn ourselves. It was delicious.
It was Hna Nelson's birthday so we threw her a surprise birthday party. It was a wild party with just the four of us.

This week was great! I had my 6 week interview with the pres and it went great. He gave my comp and I a lot of great ideas to help out our area. I’m really excited to see all of the changes that are going to happen. We found some great new families to teach. The 21st was the first day of winter so its going to start getting a lot colder now. I hope you are all enjoying the heat. I don’t know if you know about all of the craziness that is going on in Argentina. The people in the country are not sending meat, milk, gas and other things into the city for at least 100 days. The people are starting to go really really crazy. It has to do with the president. I guess he is charging the people a lot of money for something. I don’t really understand it all. The only thing I know is that we are running out of food. For those that don’t have my email address its meaganah@myldsmail.net and u can always ask my mom if u have any questions. Well I love you all and I hope you’re all doing great and have an amazing week. I will talk to you next week.

So I’m in a new area now. Jesus Maria with Hna Demmre. It was really hard to leave my old area and Hna Manquian, but I’m really excited for my new area and comp. We are white washing this area. That means that there were elders here before and they took out the elders and are putting in sisters. It is hard because both of us don’t know anything about the area. The apartment is really gross, I don’t think the elders ever cleaned, but it’s a really nice apartment.
Well I’m out off time but I love u all very much and I will talk to you next week

So I got to talk to my family yesterday, which was amazing. I love my family so much! But now I’m feeling a little home sick. This week was amazing we found a family and some other people to teach. We had 3 investigators in our area that went to church and then two more that went to our church but are from a different area. We have some amazing people that we are teaching. The lord is helping me so much every day. I can feel his spirit so strong he is guiding me in everything I do and say. I love being a missionary and I love helping people come unto Christ. Some days can be really hard, but it’s the good days that keep me moving strong. I turn 6 months on the 14th its crazy. Yesterday the whole mission fasted together. The mission president had the entire mission fast yesterday so that we may be more united as a mission spiritually and to help us reach our goal for every missionary to have a baptism every month. I’m really excited for this next week I know its going to be a great week. I love you all so much and don’t forget to keep me in your prayers I need all the help Ican get. Don’t forget that I’m praying for all of you every night. Miss u all lots and talk to you next week.
This is a picture of the people that I’m teaching, the younger lady and herfamily, she and her husband are inactive and they have two kids that are notbaptized. The older lady is her mother in-law, she is an active member.

So I’m going to tell u my life as being Hermana Hawkes in Argentina Cordoba. I wake up an hour early, which is 6 30, to study Spanish, I need all the help I can get. The first thing I do is workout for 30 minutes and then I get an hour to get ready and eat. Then I do personal study for 1 hour, which is study the book of Mormon(bom) / bible for 30 min and then preach my gospel (pmg) for 30 min. Then I study Spanish for 1 hour, which is reading the bom and pmg and writing down the words that I don’t know, which is a lot right now. But I’m getting better every day. Then study a grammar principle and other vocab. Then we do 1 hour of companion study. Which is sharing what we learned in personal study and then going over what we are going to teach people that day and then study pmg. Then from 10:30 to 12:30 we are teaching people or finding more people to teach. At 12:30 we have lunch with a member. Then 1:30 to 3 we study some
more. We get 30 for studying Spanish and then an hour for dinner. We just use our hour for dinner right after lunch, because in Argentina everyone takes naps after lunch. For that hour I study some more Spanish or read a book. Then we go out and teach some more until 10. Then we come back and plan for the next day. And then in bed by 11. And that is my life as a missionary. I know it seems like we study a lot and then we are out teaching a lot, but it always seems like there is never enough time in the day to get every thing done that I want to get done. The days are just flying by. The 14th was my 3 month mark. Meaning in the mission I’m 3 years old. I can’t believe I have been out that long, it’s crazy. But I’m just loving life. So my house is really sweet. The house is about 10 by 15. There are two rooms, the bathroom and then the rest of the house. It is beautiful here the sky is so blue. The weather is a little weird. It gets really hot and humid and then we have a rain storm for about an hour, which floods the streets and then it gets sunny and hot again. I was on this bus the other day and there were so many people on it, a ton of people were standing and we were all smothered together. I think that is the closest I have been to some one of the opposite sex since I have been a missionary that was a little weird. If there is anything that u want to know feel free to write I love to get letters, hint hint.
Love u all Hermana Hawkes
